Flag Painting.

I was delighted that a painting I was commissioned to undertake, many years ago was included in a recent edition of “Literary Activism” accompanying a poignant Ghazal in celebration of the 75th year of Independence. These paintings were all painted with certain pieces of music in mind, and were also executed just after the 9/11 atrocity and so the starting point for them was working with the essential elements of the flags, but abstracting them to be on the verge of unrecognisable.
