Empty House Study.

In this action I sit in the corner of a space of the abandoned house . I am aware of only my breath and am wearing colours and textures that match the walls and curtain, to  blend in and become somewhat “Transparent” .

Here  I re enact  a childhood memory of sitting in the corner of my tree house. My grandfather made a tree house out of a cable drum from the back of his electrician’s office in Clacton Essex.

I remember it’s feeling of safety and being at one with nature, the feeling of aloneness, at peace and solitary. Here in the abandoned house many years on, I re enact the simple gesture of sitting and breathing and being emotionally removed yet present.
